Applying for the Cedula – a Clearly Defined Process

Step 1: Prepare Documents
The following documents are generally required:
- Passport: Valid for at least 6 months, copy of all relevant pages.
- Birth certificate: Original with apostille and certified translation into Spanish.
- Police clearance certificate: From your home country, not older than 6 months, apostilled and translated.
- Marriage certificate (if applicable): For joint application with spouse, also apostilled and translated.

Step 2: Application at Migraciones
The residency application is submitted to the Dirección General de Migraciones in Asunción. A personal appearance is mandatory. ParaguayJoker coordinates appointments and helps ensure all documents are complete and correct.
Step 3: Biometric Capture
As part of the application, fingerprints and a photo are taken. This is for the issuance of the physical Cedula card.
